Hoping some things never change, Country chart-toppers George Birge and Brantley Gilbert team up to tribute an unpaved paradise in their brand-new collaboration, “Small Forever.”
“Brantley has been a genre-defining artist, both as a songwriter and a performer. I still think it’s wild that I get to call him a friend these days and couldn’t be more fired up with how this song turned out,” shares Birge.
A slow-rolling anthem co-written by Birge with Taylor Phillips, Brock Berryhill (also the producer), and Josh Phillips, the track is steeped in hometown pride – something both artists know by heart. Following in the thematic bootsteps of Birge’s latest release “Back In The Country,” and complementing his current Top 35 single “It Won’t Be Long,” the pair lift up a simple life of faith and family tradition – a lifestyle that always stays true, no matter what the outside world thinks: “Just like God painted it / Never go changing it / Leave that little dot off the map.”
With a sleek, smoldering fusion of Country instruments and Hip-Hop beats, hit-making vocals swirl around each other like smoke from a Saturday night bonfire. Birge’s Texas soul and Gilbert’s Georgia growl collide like two sides of the same coin, as they sing of hard knocks and high times in a land of natural beauty with tight-knit communities at their side. They might be surrounded by a relentless push for progress, but these small-towners know perfection when they see it.
Firing on all cylinders, Birge is now direct support for Luke Bryan (COUNTRY SONG CAME ON TOUR), after pulling off a massive surprise while making his debut at Stagecoach. Creating a buzz as Lana Del Rey’s special guest ahead of his own headline set, Birge was spotted across all top-tier outlets like Billboard, Los Angeles Times, PAPER, Rolling Stone, The Tennessean, Us Weekly, Variety, and more, as well as making an in-studio appearance at The Viall Files.
