There are certain concerts where you know exactly what you're walking into before the first note is played. A Black Veil Brides show is one of those nights. Leather, black clothing, dramatic makeup, gothic fashion and plenty of attitude were everywhere Thursday night at The Van Buren in downtown Phoenix—and yet, perhaps the most striking thing about the crowd wasn't how dark they looked.

On Tuesday night, June 30, the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Arizona, was the place to be for metal fans as Jinjer brought their North American Duél Tour to a packed house. The evening featured an outstanding lineup with Japan's Crystal Lake and California progressive metal outfit Entheos setting the stage before the Ukrainian metal powerhouse took over.

OVTLIER delivered a hard-hitting set at The Nile Theatre on April 29, bringing serious energy to Mesa as part of The Redemption Tour. Playing alongside Silent Theory and Discrepancies, the band had the crowd moving early with a tight 40-minute performance that mixed aggression, melody, and nonstop intensity.

Surfer indie rock band Archer Oh took the stage at the Nile Theater before The Frights on Saturday night. With the venue packed and the crowd chatting excitedly before the band even hit the stage, I knew we were in for a fun night.

Reliving the end of my teenage years with a known name that took 2016 by storm in the music world, gnash is back in the game after 7 years of not touring, and the fans still knew every word. Phoenix was the second stop of the garden tour and the entire stage was decked out… like a deck! If there’s one thing you need to know about gnash, he goes all out with his tour themes. Flowers, archways of floral arrangements, a bench and watering can covered the stage. gnash stepped out in a floral bouquet jumpsuit completed with gardening gloves (which he admitted was for his nail biting habits, hey! We all cope somehow in this world).
