Jet Jaguar Album Announce "Severance" Out 10/24 + Band Shares "Eternal Light"

A distinctive fighting spirit is undoubtedly an integral part of Jet Jaguar's DNA. The four-piece from Mexico is one of the most promising metal newcomers of 2025 yet they have survived a dramatic lineup change just as effortlessly as the difficult lockdown years and — you could say — as a dramatic climax. They endured a serious traffic accident in Autumn 2024 during their tour with Anvil. At the end of the day, these experiences have helped the band to grow tougher and more mature.

However, the October 24 release of Jet Jaguar's second album Severance is about to prove how important passion and perseverance are for this ambitious metal act.

"Over the past five years, we've had to overcome a number of setbacks, but we've continued to grow as a band, as instrumentalists and as composers," says drummer and founding member Jimmy Lozano. "Since our 2020 debut Endless Nights, we've risen to all those challenges and feel so much stronger as a result. This also includes some compositional innovations, but our style still consists of fast-paced songs with shredder guitars, technical masterpieces and a commitment to traditional metal."

The most significant new addition to the Jet Jaguar fold is vocalist Raiden Lozenthall, whose distinctive voice gives the current material additional depth and urgency and has ensured more varied songwriting.

"Raiden's voice is much more flexible than that of his predecessor," explains Lozano. "His vocal style is very melodic but also includes death metal grunts, giving the songs an even more expressive flair. Raiden's vocals are incredibly powerful and he also plays the guitar, which means we can now perform two-part solos live on stage."

Only the strongest and most skillful survive! That motto applies to Jet Jaguar, although in their case, the outcome of the battle is already obvious: This band is guaranteed to win countless (metal) battles with their accomplished new album.

The album's first single "Eternal Light" is a fast-paced metal track featuring a striking guitar riff and virtuoso solos, plus lyrics that deal with the frustration and difficult moments in the band's career.
