KISS bassist Gene Simmons is recovering at home after crashing his Lincoln Navigator into a parked car Tuesday on Malibu's Pacific Coast Highway. The accident happened before 1 p.m. when Simmons told Los Angeles Sheriff's deputies he passed out or fainted while driving. His wife Shannon Tweed said the vehicle crossed several traffic lanes before striking the parked car. Simmons was hospitalized for evaluation then released to recover at home. Tweed suggested the incident may relate to recent medication changes and Simmons' reluctance to drink enough water. His representative told Rolling Stone "Mr. Simmons is totally fine from this minor fender bender." Simmons has upcoming performances scheduled, including a November KISS reunion show in Las Vegas and December's Kennedy Center Honors ceremony. (Story URL)
