Rush Announces 2026 ‘50 Something’ Reunion Tour

Rush announced during a private event at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Sunday night (October 5) that they are reuniting for their Fifty Something Tour in summer 2026, marking their first live shows since 2015. Bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson said it was a “difficult decision” to continue without drummer Neil Peart, who died in 2020. “It was a very sad time, and it took time for us to even contemplate,” Lee shared. Award-winning German drummer Anika Nilles will join the group for the tour, after previously playing over sixty live shows with Jeff Beck.

“Our idea was not to try to be Rush 2.0,” Lee says. “[We want] to pay homage to our music, pay homage to our lost brother, represent the songs — and celebrate the songs.” Rush’s 12-date North American tour kicks off with a two night stand at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on June 7 and 9 – the same venue of the band’s final shows – before playing Mexico City on June 18, followed by multi-night stops in Forth Worth, Chicago, New York, and Toronto, and concluding the short run on September 17 in Cleveland. Artist presale begins on October 13, with general on-sale starting October 17. (Variety)
