Acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Morgan Myles will release her highly anticipated new single, “How Does That Sound,” this Friday, May 30. The track marks the first release from her forthcoming Americana-leaning album, produced by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Ross Hogarth. The album will be released via Blue Élan Records.

Following the success of her Exclusive First Listen Tour, where she previewed new material in intimate spaces across the country, Myles returns with a vibrant, feel-good anthem made for summer escapes.

Co-written by Myles and Gary Nichols, “How Does That Sound” is a soulful, romantic escape anthem that captures the longing for intimacy, simplicity, and freedom. The song is both personal and universally relatable, weaving themes of love, nature, and emotional connection. Driven by Myles’ powerhouse vocals and steeped in rootsy Americana charm, the track is a refreshing, soul-stirring ode to slowing down and savoring meaningful moments.

Myles spoke about the new song, saying: “We wrote this song with the intent of that intimacy of being with that special person, feeling free out in the middle of nowhere, and finding that special connection that we all long to have… at least that’s what I want!”

A true vocal force, Myles first gained national attention as a top-three finalist on NBC’s The Voice in 2022, where she earned the fastest four-chair turn in the show’s history and joined Team Camila Cabello. Since then, she has racked up over 30 million views across social media and earned praise from Billboard, CMT, People, Rolling Stone, and American Songwriter.  With a five-octave vocal range and a magnetic stage presence, she has quickly become one of modern country and Americana’s most exciting rising voices.

Recently, Myles released Live at Apogee Studio, a raw and powerful live album recorded in a single take, without overdubs, at the legendary Apogee Studio in Santa Monica, CA. The project was mixed by Bob Clearmountain and showcases Myles' signature mix of authenticity and vocal brilliance. “In a time where music is so often manufactured, I wanted to deliver something real and honest,” she shares.

Signed to Blue Élan Records and celebrated for her electrifying live performances, Myles plays over 100 shows a year—including a standout set at the Grand Ole Opry that earned a standing ovation. With new projects on the horizon, she’s poised to expand her sound and storytelling as she steps into a landmark year.

(Morgan is scheduled to speak with DC at the CMA Fest and we will air that interview the weekend of June 14-15 on 96.9 Dirt Road Radio)
