ERIC ALVAREZ
THE DECIBEL DIVE
MONDAY THRU THURSDAY (7pm-11pm Eastern)
ABOUT TYLER
My name is Eric Alvarez and this is my bio that you are currently reading. At one time, I played sports… but then one day when I was in high school, I overheard a couple of classmates saying they wanted to record a demo and play shows around town but they didn’t have a bassist. I walked up to them and told them I could be their bassist… even though I had no prior experience with a music instrument. That was the beginning of my music career (Broken Vision, Buried as Thieves) that led to touring throughout the country and recording a studio album with my closest friends. Then one day, I decided to pivot and I wanted to go to college to get a degree in Media Communications. A week after my graduation, I was hired by the World Wrestling Entertainment to be a Marketing Coordinator for their NXT brand. It was a fun experience… but I am used to having the spotlight be on me. After my time with the WWE, I used my education to begin editing videos professionally and I was then hired by 6x Emmy Award winner, John Brenkus, to be part of a small team to help create his sports network called BrinxTV. But I didn’t want to just be part of the production team, I wanted to be on camera. I went on to create my own podcast (Eric Alvarez Presents: YOUR SHOW) and I was also a host on BrinxTV for several of their programming (Brinx Buzz, Evening Buzz, 5 O’Clock Somewhere, The Cult of Eric). Now, I am in love with being on-air and in the broadcasting world. So, the journey continues, and I find myself hosting your favorite radio show on your favorite radio station.
