Gunnar Latham Rides Into Summer with New Single, “Cowboy Every Time” – Out June 27

Gunnar Latham is set to release his highly anticipated new single, “Cowboy Every Time,” on June 27, through Gone Ropin' Records. Co-written by Latham, Josh Grider, and Mitch Oglesby, and produced by Josh Grider, the song honors a woman who fully embraces a traditional, down-to-earth country lifestyle. From her love for turquoise rings and boot-cut jeans to her deep appreciation for old country songs and the cowboy way of life, the song captures her preference for authenticity over modern city living. Her admiration for cowboy culture, loyalty, and grounded nature make her always choose the cowboy life, every time.

To complement the release, Latham will also unveil an official music video for “Cowboy Every Time,” bringing the song’s imagery and spirit to life.

Gunnar explained the inspiration behind the song, saying, “Cowboy Every Time is a song about the cowgirl in a woman, the choice she makes to stick to the cowboy way of life. For me, it’s the girl at home while her husband is doing cowboy work, the girl in the passenger seat of the truck while feeding cows, and the cowgirl running barrels on Friday night at the rodeo. I think there are many aspects of this song that could be impactful. The underlying theme is that this is the beginning of Gunnar Latham, and following this song, I’ve got some tracks that really fit things I love to do, actual real-life stories.”

Born into a church-going and country music-loving family in San Marcos, Texas, Latham’s upbringing was steeped in ranching and rodeo. Growing up surrounded by horses and cattle, his first love was rodeo, competing in steer wrestling, team roping, and tie-down throughout high school, college, and professionally. But his passion for music blossomed early as well, first in his father’s church, then around the horse trailers at rodeos, and later in the honky-tonks of central Texas.

After a few years of balancing his rodeo dreams with his love for music, Latham made the bold decision to pursue a full-time music career in late 2019. Since then, his dedication has paid off, with a growing Texas fanbase, a publishing deal, and representation by Chad Kudelka at CAA.
