Rising singer-songwriter Abbie Callahan will release her debut EP, Grossly Aware, on July 25 via Twelve6 Entertainment.

With a voice both timeless and unfiltered, Abbie introduces what she calls kaleidoscope country - a genre-blurring blend of Americana, folk, indie pop, and bluegrass. Grossly Aware is a raw, richly textured, and emotionally resonant collection that weaves humor and vulnerability into songs that speak to the anxious, the hopeful, and the heartbreak-prone.

“These songs were a way of processing being a little messy, a little too much sometimes,” says Abbie. “I’ve always been grossly aware of everything around me - people’s reactions, my place in the world, how I’m perceived. This EP is about learning how to be okay with that.”

The EP features co-writes with acclaimed Nashville hitmakers including Emily Shackelton, Sarah Allison Turner, Jason Gantt, the EP’s producer Oscar Charles (Chase Rice, Kip Moore, Kassi Ashton, Madeline Edwards) and more. Yet at its core, Grossly Aware is a vivid reflection of Abbie’s singular voice, especially on the three tracks she penned alone, which showcase her depth and skill as a songwriter. Charlie Worsham, reigning CMA Musician of the Year/ACM Acoustic Guitar Player of the Year, lends his talents on guitar across the EP, with the exception of “Marry Jane,” where Alex Pearson steps into the role. On “Marry Jane,” production duties are shared by Jarrad Kritzstein (Ruston Kelly, Madi Diaz, Wild Rivers) and Charles.

From the tongue-in-cheek heartbreak of the fan-favorite “Marry Jane” to the playful unraveling of an eight-day situationship in “Yo-Yo,” each track is layered with Callahan’s signature wit and emotional clarity. “The Garden” offers a tender meditation on peace and boundaries, while “Strawberry, California” glows with bittersweet freedom and “I’ll Bring Flowers” closes the EP with aching vulnerability. Together, these songs announce the arrival of a striking new voice in country and indie-folk - one unafraid to feel deeply and tell the truth.
