Mary Sarah Delivers Sassy New Summertime Single on August 1

From Marushka Media

Mary Sarah, a Texas-raised, Nashville-based songwriter and recording artist is releasing her new song, “Drunk Enough,” Friday, August 1.

The track, co-written with Dan Agee (Logan Mize, Jessie James Decker) and up-and-comer Abbey Rowe, “Drunk Enough” is the first-person narrative of a woman out to have a good time with her girlfriends without pickup-lines dampening their fun.

“The idea for ‘Drunk Enough’ came from the most honest place — a bar, obviously. I was newly single just trying to have a night out with my girls and here come the cowboys thinking a margarita and a one-liner would ‘seal the deal.’ This song is my way of saying: I’m not here for your tab, your pickup-lines, or your bed. I’m here for me. And no, I’m not drunk enough to make bad decisions tonight.”

The upbeat track, out August 1, is Mary Sarah’s first release since 2024’s “The Bottom” and “Baby Mama” which spawned The Baby Mama Podcast.  Mary Sarah’s storytelling and candid guest conversations pushed her debut podcast to #2 on Spotify’s Top Podcasts chart,

About Mary Sarah:

Born on July 7, 1995, Mary Sarah is a country artist from Houston, Texas who found her passion for music early on. At just 12 years old, she toured with Kidz Bop, performing across 48 cities throughout the East Coast and Midwest. That experience on the road gave her an early taste of life as a performer and helped shape her love for connecting with live audiences.

She began performing at local talent shows and county fairs, and by the age of 15, released her debut album, Crazy Good, showcasing a powerful voice and a fresh take on traditional country.

Her sophomore album, the 13-track Bridges (2014), released when she was just 18 and features duets with Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Tanya Tucker, Willie Nelson, The Oak Ridge Boys, Vince Gill and more, and remains the only duets album to feature these country music legends in one place.

In 2016, Mary Sarah competed on NBC’s The Voice where her performances earned her a spot in the Top 5 and introduced her to a national audience. The experience further fueled her growth as a performer, songwriter and recording artist.

In 2024, Mary Sarah released a series of songs that reflect her evolution — "Stubborn," "Chain Smokin'," "The Bottom," and "Baby Mama." Each track explores real-life emotions with honesty, grit, and a touch of humor. That same year, she launched The Baby Mama Podcast, which quickly reached #2 on Spotify’s Top Podcasts chart, resonating with a wide audience through candid conversations and storytelling.

Now, back in the studio, Mary Sarah is working on new songs for an album due in 2026.
