Papa Roach’s “Braindead” Becomes Band’s 12th No. 1 On Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart, Tenth Most Of All-Time

Papa Roach’s current single, “Braindead,” featuring H2O’s Toby Morse, moves up two spots this week to claim No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. This marks the band’s 12th career chart-topper and gives them sole possession of the 10th-most No. 1s in the chart’s 44-year history, surpassing Volbeat, with Shinedown holding the all-time record of 21 No. 1s. Papa Roach first topped Mainstream Rock Airplay with “Lifeline” in 2009, and the band is currently in the midst of a streak of five consecutive No. 1 singles that began with 2022’s “No Apologies.” Additionally, “Braindead” climbed to No. 10 on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, becoming Papa Roach’s 10th Top 10 hit on that tally. The band’s last album, Ego Trip, initially debuted at No. 6 on Top Hard Rock Albums in April 2022, and has subsequently sold over 200,000 equivalent units. (Billboard)
