On Wednesday (May 21), Twenty One Pilots took to social media to announce their upcoming seventh album, Breach, which is set to be released on an unspecified date in September. The band also revealed that they will share the project’s lead single, "The Contract," on June 12. The new record will apparently mark a continuation and conclusion of the narrative arcs that have spanned their discography over the past decade. The post was captioned, “hello Clancy hello Blurryface let’s finish this |-/,” a reference to the titular characters from the group’s earlier albums, 2024’s Clancy and 2015’s Blurryface, with the Ohio duo expressing their intention to wrap up these long-running lyrical narratives in their new record. The group – featuring Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun – just wrapped up their Clancy World Tour with a series of U.K. dates earlier this month. (Billboard)
