With a voice as bold as his Kentucky roots, rising country artist Dillon Carmichael releases his third studio album Keepin’ Country Alive today via Riser House Records. The 14-track collection honors country tradition while continuing to shape the unmistakable sound of Kentucky for a new generation.

Recorded at Nashville’s renowned Blackbird Studio and produced by country star Jon Pardi, Ryan Gore and Jared Conrad, Keepin’ Country Alive is a love letter to Carmichael’s hometown: a come-as-you-are album filled with stories of hard work, family values, and feel-good moments. From boot-stompin’ tracks to tongue-in-cheek bangers, the album embraces the lighter side of life, offering a mix of funny, heartfelt, and full-throttle tracks.

“I think ‘country’ is a term that is often controversial about what it is and isn’t. Sure, country can be boots, hunting, fishing, and where you’re from or how hard you work. But at the end of the day, country is what’s in your heart. There are folks who are from all over the map, and that’s what I stand for,” Carmichael said.

Country music runs deep in Carmichael’s blood. The nephew of John Michael Montgomery and Eddie Montgomery, he was raised in the small farming town of Burgin, Kentucky. He picked up a guitar at age 12 and later moved to Nashville, where he worked security at the Grand Ole Opry while chasing his dream. That journey led to his 2018 debut Hell On An Angel, produced by Dave Cobb, and earned him critical acclaim from outlets including Rolling StoneThe New York Times, and Billboard.

His past Top 25 radio hits “Son Of A” and “Drinkin’ Problems” helped kick off the album campaign, which have now surpassed 36M+ combined streams. Most recently, the single “Raised Up Wrong,” released on May 9, has garnered more than 300K streams so far. Tracks like “Raised Up Wrong” and “She Gone” highlight Carmichael’s no-frills songwriting, while his cover of Adele’s hit song “Someone Like You” shows his range as a vocalist.

Now entering what many are calling his strongest era yet, Carmichael celebrated the release of Keepin’ Country Alive with an intimate acoustic set for fans following his CMA Fest performance on June 5. He followed it up with a virtual listening party on June 11, giving fans an exclusive first listen to the full album ahead of its official release.
