Rising country music star Tyler Rich is serving up double the music this summer with two heartfelt singles that capture life’s most meaningful moments: “When?,” released earlier this month via ONErpm, and “Summer Of Us,” set to arrive July 4. Both tracks highlight Rich’s signature storytelling, emotional honesty, and ability to connect deeply with fans.
“When?” is a powerful wake-up call for anyone stuck in the “maybe next year” mindset. Written after the sudden loss of someone close, the track urges listeners to stop waiting and start living.
"This song is for the dreamers stuck at day jobs, the lovers holding back, and the ones waiting for the 'right time' to finally live," says Rich. "It’s a reminder that tomorrow isn’t promised, so quit the job, book the flight, kiss the girl. If not now, when?"
“When?” was co-written by Rich, Grant Vogel and Josh Logan and the track was produced by Brad Hill and Lalo Guzman.
Arriving just in time for Independence Day, “Summer Of Us” is Rich’s personal coming-of-age love story. The track invites listeners into his real-life romance with his wife, chronicling the unforgettable first moments of their relationship - from meeting at Stagecoach, to rainy nights in Dublin, to wine tasting in Napa.
“We were chasing cities, chasing dreams, and learning everything about each other along the way. Every stop brought us closer. This song is a collection of postcards from that summer.”
“Summer Of Us” was co-written by Rich, Taylor Phillips and Matthew McVaney and the track was also produced by Brad Hill and Lalo Guzman.
Both songs further cement Rich’s reputation as one of country music’s most relatable and heartfelt storytellers. As an independent artist, Rich has carved out his own path, balancing vulnerability, hope, and the raw truth about how quickly life can pass us by.
